for Siggy

Siggy wanted Clayton to play with his rattle she gave him. We took a picture. I think he's going to like it. I'm going to have to figure out how to get the both of us off of this night schedule. I think we'll have to work on it when Greg is home. I fall asleep with Clayton during the daytime.

Don't be jealous... Clayton is going to see Grandma and Grandpa Griffin. We were thinking about coming to Russellville for the day sometime this weekend...

Everytime I say "let's take a picture for Pop" Clayton grins... I finally got some real sleep. I feel better.

Clayton is growing like a weed. If you come over I can show you the wall he pee'd on. It reminded me of that Huggies commercial.

End Tables

Greg made these for his brother. I'm not sure if I like them.

3 weeks old today. The time has flown by. This last picture reminds me of paparazzi photos... no more.

Clayton is getting bigger by the minute! He eats like a piglet. At his Dr's appointment on Monday he had gained to 7 lbs and 12 oz and was 21 inches long. He's content here because he got to see Pop and Gigi.

Clayton's jaundice hasn't gotten any better. So we are laying under a bili light. It looks like a minature tanning bed. I took a picture but it's just too pitiful to put on here. We will have another bilirubin checked on Sunday. Hopefully that will be the end of this.

Believe it or not I've taken a lot of pictures. It's hard to pick just one. Greg and I fight over who holds Clayton.

We're Famous

We've had a busy day. Clayton was circumcised this morning and we had to have labs drawn. Pretty traumatic for him for his first 'outing.' But he was the best baby the whole time.

We're on the first page of the Harrison Daily Times. Here's the article: (birth date is noted wrong)

A new “baby boom” of sorts has begun at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center’s new patient tower.

Special to the Times
Greg and Erin Jones welcomed the arrival of their son, Clayton Gene Jones, as the first baby born in the new patient tower at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.
Just a few hours after relocating the obstetrical unit to the tower, Greg and Erin Jones welcomed the arrival of their son, Clayton Gene Jones, as the first baby born in the tower.

The seven pound, one ounce boy was the first baby born in the all-new birthing suite in Harrison and because of a generous gift from North Arkansas College his parents won't have to worry about putting him through college.

Northark donated two years of college tuition currently valued at $3,600 (in-county residents) to the obviously happy parents, which could be worth much more by the time he goes to college.

“We are very proud to support the new patient tower and the economic future of Harrison by providing this opportunity to the child. It will be a relief to the parents and to the child that two years worth of college is already paid for and we are so happy to do it,” Northark President Dr. Jeff Olson said.

The baby arrived at 4:46 p.m. Saturday, June 28. Erin labored, delivered and recovered all in the same patient room. The new rooms are spacious enough to accommodate the entire family.

Delivering physician was Dawn Phelps, M. D. Proud grandparents include Betty and Larry Renfroe of Pottsville; Rick and Gelica Griffin of Harrison; and Steve and Pat Jones of Joplin, Mo.

Greg and Erin were exited that Clayton was the first to be born in the new facility, saying his newsworthy arrival made it all the more special.

When asked if there would be brothers or sisters in Clayton’s future, Erin replied, “With the epidural, maybe.”
