OK Erin...Mike said it was on the s/w corner of Newman and Maple Please go see if there is a house there. Take a picture if that house.....The one at 607 rush street was an apartment we rented... a basement apartment. But I want to see a picture of the house. The lady that owned it lived just west of us and hers was a house with a red brick front. It was a nice house and probably is still there. I am not sure about ours. We'll see if Mike knows more than me.

Erin this site has a picture of a magnolia tree. The leaves look like a rubber plant leaf. The tree was massive 30 years ago! And it smelled heavenly!

The one I remember is the appartment. That would be the one on rush street. I bet it was not on the corner. But it was on a very steep hill close to the library. I dont even remember you living in a house in harrison. Are you sure that was not Caney Kansas?

You know I remember something
about a steep, steep hill. I

The steep hill was an apartment. The house was on a hill...at the bottom of a steep, steep hill. Mike rented it in march before we married in may... we moved out in June...the apartment was in the basement , it was divided into 2 apartments and most of the apartment was underground. All except the front door...There is a story there.. That apartment was at 607 rush....Erin could take a picture of it also. It was off the road going to Botavia.

Nice blog, Erin. I laughed out loud at your post about Rocky dragging you off the porch to chase the armadillo. I have a yellow lab, too, so I can easily see how that could happen.
