well, it may be jene -- but that's only because mom can't spell. i've sent off to change my middle name to jean too.
It's not because mom can't spell. It is the combination of Mom and Dad's names....Gene + Jean = Jene
dad's name on his birth certificate is not spelled gene. take a look.
